Truffle hunting and cooking class

Our woods have a delicious scent that wafts through the air from March to May and from October to November. This scent is that of the underground truffles that grow among the roots of our oak trees. We offer you the opportunity to participate in a true treasure hunt, searching for this precious tuber, accompanied by an expert guide and his dogs specially trained to detect truffles, so prized for their delicate aroma and flavor. It all begins with a warm welcome and an introduction to the characteristics of this sought-after tuber, before setting off, full of anticipation, to discover the Tuscan countryside. It’s not just for those who love culture, tradition, and food, but it’s also an exciting way to connect with Tuscan nature.

We recommend wearing footwear suitable for walking comfortably in the woods.

Tuscan truffle cooking class

After the hunt, a cooking class will take place at our 15th-century home followed by lunch which may be themed around the morning’s harvest: Tuscan appetizer and truffle crostini, fresh pasta with grated truffle, and dessert.

The experience includes a tasting of extra virgin olive oil made with olives of our private garden, a bottle of Gallo Nero Chianti Classico red wine, and a taste of homemade limoncello.

In addition you can get the extraordinary opportunity to pair the truffle flavor with some the outstanding wines of Marchesi Antinori winery.
